The beauty and enjoyment of colors and forms are the essence of embroidery, but for me, the moment when the strength and density of the threads in the base fabric perfectly balance with the mass of the colors placed on top is beautiful and precious.
If either is out of balance, it can look strained.
Another important aspect for me is the communication through embroidery.
I embroider with the hope that someone will see my embroidery and be happy or enjoy it.
